Who we are

Tower of Praise Christian Church ("we," "us") is a church in La Mirada, California. This policy explains what information we collect from members, visitors and friends of the church, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect only what you give us: your name, email address, and mobile phone number, and sometimes the ministry or group you belong to. We receive it when you fill in a connect card, sign up on our website or at a service, join a group, or ask to receive our emails or texts.

Our website may also collect basic technical information, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, through the tools provided by our website host.

How we use it

We use your information to stay in touch as a church:

A weekly email about Sunday's message, upcoming events and announcements
Text messages about services, events and urgent church news, only if you have opted in to texts
Replies to your questions and requests

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who helps us

We use trusted service providers to send our messages and to keep our contact list. Today that is Brevo, which delivers our emails and texts and holds our contact list on our behalf. These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. Our website is hosted by Wix.

Text messages

By opting in to text messages from Tower of Praise Christian Church you agree to receive recurring messages about services, events and church news at the mobile number you provided. Message frequency varies, typically one to four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of membership or of any service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with service providers who help us send our own messages is only for that purpose.

Your choices

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and every text honors STOP. You can also ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by contacting us below, and we will do so promptly.

Children

Our messages are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect contact information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact information for as long as you want to hear from us. If you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, we stop contacting you at once and remove your details from our active lists.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including working with providers that encrypt data and limiting who at the church can access the list.
